Toxins are a fact of modern life. Sadly even babies are born with hundreds of chemicals in their bloodstream. Our bodies can deal with some of them, others cause problems and some will hang out in our bodies and build up over time. There are some obvious issues and some less obvious ones. For maximum impact on your whole family, start in the laundry room and bathroom with these products that mess with your hormones.

This one throws people for a loop. Spot the trend? No one suspects that the fragrance in the stuff they are slathering on their skin is messing with their hormones, and sometimes worse! It’s not just fragrances you need to watch for. Phthalates and petrochemicals will add to the toxic burden that builds up in our bodies over time. Some people react immediately, but most of us don’t. At some point, the toxins overload our bodies' ability to deal with them. Children and babies are especially vulnerable. I made my own DIY personal care products for a while. It was tough to give up some of the products I used for years. At first, I planned to give my old products away, until I googled the ingredient list. Then I threw them out. My only regret is that I didn’t know sooner what I was doing to my family’s health. Over time, I’ve found several ready-made products I love that pass the ingredient snob test. Need help finding a replacement for something? Let's work on it together.
8-12 oz distilled water
2 Tablespoons liquid Castile soap
1/2 teaspoon vegetable glycerine*** (for extra moisture)
10-30 drops of essential oils***
Add water (first) to a foaming soap dispenser, then add the liquid soap, glycerine, and essential oils. Swirl around to mix.
***One important thing...ingredient sourcing is important. For the glycerine and essential oils, choose ones that are safe to ingest. You won't be eating your soap 😂, but if it isn't safe enough to go down the hatch, I don't want it on my skin. They are a bit tougher to find. Reach out and I'll share my shopping list.
